Laurent FAGNI

Laurent Fagni obtained a Doctorate Diploma in Neurosciences at the University of Marseilles (France) in 1981. He trained as a post-doctoral fellow in the laboratory of Gary S. Lynch at the University of California Irvine in 1982-1984. He then experienced research work at IFREMER (Marseille) and NIH (Bethesda, USA) and was appointed to a tenure position at CNRS in 1987. He has been interested in synaptic function and synaptopathies, namely the patho-physiological role of neurotransmitter receptors and associated scaffolding proteins, as well as biological substrates of learning, memory and related diseases.
